How it started ->
Kimber and Calley met playing sand volleyball and over a pitcher of Summer Shandy they bonded over the Green Bay Packers, growing up in Wisconsin, and of course, their love of cheese. Becoming fast friends adventure took them down the back roads of the Midwest and with it exploring so many great creameries.
Not finding the same selection available in the Twin Ports lead them to brainstorming over some local beers and the Yes, Cheese business plan was formed. After a few months of ruminating, planning, renting a kitchen - they made their dream a reality. By offering cheese that is personally hand-selected (and sampled!) in an artfully curated charcuterie cheese box for easy enjoyment.
The story continues… (2026)
From the early days of Brewery Pop-Ups, to participating in events around the Twin Ports like Winter Village, to our very own Store Front right in Superior!
We’ve grown a lot over the years, and some of our faces have changed. Calley has moved on from the Business, becoming a Mom and enjoying the farm life. She is still an active cheese enthusiast and regularly stops in try to new cheeses and give her take on the latest flavor.
Kimber is still carrying on the cheese love and has transitioned into full time cheese mongering. Running the cheese shop and sourcing the best cheese in the Midwest for your eating pleasure.
Joining the Cheese Life, is Kimber’s sister Rhawnie. Rhawnie has been a long time helper during event season, but took on a more permanant role as a minor owner. Snow Plow Driver, Army Veteran, and Bass Player - you can catch Rhawnie helping out on busy nights and continued support for our bigger events.
